Mission Statement

Our Mission is to provide through positive reinforcement and encouragement an environment that promotes all aspects of music literacy.  We strive to build character and individuality through creativity and self-expression.  Our students will be taught the values of time management and problem solving as it applies to music.  Our overall goal is to instill in each student a love and appreciation for music and provide them the tools to pursue it for a lifetime.

Registration and Payment

There is a yearly registration fee of $70 per student that will be billed with the first month's tuition payment and at the beginning of each term in the month of August.  The full term begins in the month of August and ends in the month of July.  Monthly tuition is calculated based on the number of lessons the student will receive for the year at a rate of $70 per studio hour and billed in equal monthly installments.  Monthly tuition is set up and drafted through Chase bank.  No check payments are accepted unless paying quarterly or for the year in full.  Terms paid in full and not completed will not be refunded but the lessons can be honored at a later date.

Absence Policy

Your assigned lesson time is strictly reserved for the student.  The teachers of The Music Academy are compensated for the students lesson whether they attend or not.  Music Academy teachers are not required to provide make-up lessons for any student absence.  In the event of emergencies or illness the instructor may offer a make-up lesson, should they choose to, and subject to availability in their schedule.  In the event of a teacher cancellation, the lesson will either be made up or your account will be credited for the missed lesson.

Inclement Weather

If a lesson is cancelled due to inclement weather, The Music Academy will not issue refunds for the lessons.  Missed lessons due to weather can be made up by the instructor at any point during the year including our summer make-up weeks.

Withdrawing from Lessons

Students wishing to discontinue lessons must do so by emailing augie@mandevillemusicacademy.com.  The draft will be discontinued 30 days following the date of the email.  Students have the option to attend the lessons for every month in which the draft occurs.  Learning music is a long and progressive process.  Consider talking with your instructor to discuss possible changes in the approach to the music lesson before withdrawing.
